"I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it"

Eurozone crisis: The Montaigne Institute invites French and German Ministers of Finance Francois Baroin and Wolfgang Schäuble to discuss ways out of the crisis and recovery towards growth.

According to the European Commission, the growth rate in the Eurozone is negative (-0, 3%) for the last trimester of 2011.
Faced with this difficult economic and financial situation, the European Union has shown its reactivity and determination by creating various financial systems, such as the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) and the European Financial Stability Facility, which will overtake the former from 2013 on.

In this context, the unity of the Franco-German partnership within the European Union has been a true source of dynamism and political will to recovery towards a sustainable growth.

Thus, the Montaigne Institute, in cooperation with the Genshagen Foundation, invites François Baroin, French Minister of Finance, Economics, and Industry and Wolfgang Schäuble, German Federal Minister of Finance, to present their political and European perspectives on Tuesday March 13 from 5:30PM to 7:30PM.

Because the unity of the Franco-German partnership constitutes a strategic catalyst for the strengthening of the competitiveness and growth of European enterprises, FVC&PA shares the highly political approach sought by the Montaigne Institute.
